Day 1:

After breakfast, take a city tour of Maseru followed by visit and tour of Thaba-Bosiu, the birth place of Basotho Nation. Tour the cultural village and the museum. Climb to the top of the mountain is for those strong enough to and is always optional.

Then visit Kome Cave Dwellings (a village in a cave that has been inhabited since the 19th century). Have a village tour of both the cave and the extended Kome village.

Afternoon, travel back to Maseru for overnight at the Avani Lesotho Hotel.

Day 2:

In the morning, travel to Botha-Bothe and visit a vibrant village of Tlokoeng. Experience real Basotho life in a natural setting (everyone going about their day to day life in a rural setting). On the way, visit Subeng dinosaur footprints gallery. Taste Basotho cultural food and if interested take part in the food preparation.

Then overnight at the Qhanolla Guest House.

Day 3:

Early morning, travel to ’Muela Hydro-Power Station (Lesotho produces 72 Mega Watts of electricity with gravity only) then visit Liphofung San Rock Art place and cultural centre. Travel to Katse Dam (winner of several international awards for engineering excellence), along the way, visit Bokong Nature Reserve (home of the Bearded Vulture, which is one of the endangered species).

After lunch, go for tour of the dam complex. Overnight at Katse Lodge.

Day 4:

Early morning travel to Thaba-Tseka to loop onto Mohale Dam. After lunch tour the dam complex. In the evening, take a boat cruise to the dam wall. On a clear sky, the view of the Milky Way is stunning.

Day 5:

After breakfast to Semonkong (Place of Smoke). Visit the Roma Valley, which is the centre of education. Then proceed to Semonkong.

With good summer rains, experience the breath taking ’Maletsunyane Falls (a natural wonder with a direct single drop of 192 meters, with abseil slope of 204 meters).

Travel back to Maseru through the scenic beauty of the Machache range of mountains (Front range of the Maluti mountains).

Back to Avani Lesotho Hotel.

Day 6:

This day we visit Matsieng (the rural Palace of His Majesty King Letsie III), tour the royal village, the historical place of Makhoarane and Morija. Visit the museum for a guided tour of the documented history of the royal family, the early missionaries and other aspects of interest.

Transfer to the airport for afternoon flight.

End of Service.

After early breakfast, travel East to Mohale Dam through beautiful scenery that goes through three mountain passes, namely, Bushmen Pass (Khalong-la-Baroa), on the Front Maluti Range, God Help Me Pass (Molimo Nthuse)  and Blue Mountain Pass (Thaba-Putsoa) on the Central Maluti Range.

On arrival, tour the dam complex. (OPTIONAL: Boat tour of the dam).

Afternoon, travel to Katse Dam area through the beautiful valleys and mountain vistas. Overnight at Katse Lodge.

Day 3:

After breakfast tour Katse Dam (winner of several international awards for engineering excellence) Complex and Katse Botanical Garden. Then travel to the lowlands through the northern access road. Along the way, visit Bokong Nature Reserve (home of the bearded vulture, which is one of the endangered species).

Day 4:

In the morning, visit ’Muela Hydro-Power Station (Lesotho produces 72 Megawatts of electricity with gravity) the final destination of the components that form part of the Lesotho highlands Water Project. Visit Liphofung San Rock Art place and cultural centre for some cultural experience.

Lunch along the way.

Then drive back to Maseru for overnight at Avani Lesotho Hotel.
